Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) is the term that is used to classify problems with the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Often referred to as “TMJ” or “CMD” or a variety of other acronyms, TMD affects up to 15% of the population. There are a variety of symptoms associated with TMD but the most common are migraine headaches, tension headaches, popping or clicking of the jaw joint, ringing in the ears and/or tingling in the fingertips.
